Case Study: Boob Baby

Boob Baby

Sarah Appleton and her husband Ryan set up Boob Baby following the birth their son. They wanted to provide a place where women could come for breastfeeding products, at competitive prices and with good customer service, and advice that is clear and easy to find.

Boob Baby is a lovely, easy to navigate website consisting primarily of a shop, stocking everything breastfeeding related including Mama Tea’s New Mama, a breastfeeding zone, aimed at providing lots of easy to read advice including a section called “Mum’s Top Tips” with lovely pieces of breastfeeding encouragement, and a blog sharing the latest news about products and breastfeeding. One of our favourite quotes from “Mum’s Top Tips” is;

“my best advice would be that breastfeeding isn’t about just food. Newborns feed all the time, it’s their source of warmth, comfort and mummy.”

As we embark on World Breastfeeding Week 2012 this is a great website to inform and shop breastfeeding accessories for mamas to be and new mamas alike.

Visit the Boob Baby website, follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Little Bud Logo

Located in the beautiful village of Cuckfield, also known as “The Boutique Village”, Little Bud Maternity is a treasure trove of exciting goodies for Mamas, Bumps and Babies. Nina Montalto Duffy has created this lovely boutique in The Old Post Office House on the High Street. Opened earlier this year the boutique is filled with stylish maternity wear, baby wear, gifts and lots more . Every item stocked not only has to be stylish but it also has to be ethically and responsibly produced and as often as possible organic, the Little Bud team believe that we have to do our best to look after the planet for our children. Little Bud also has a webshop at www.littlebudmaternity.co.uk.

In addition to selling lots of gorgeous things they also offer one to one maternity styling sessions. These sessions can be booked in advance and it offers a pregnant mama the opportunity to discuss their stylish needs and try on lots of lovely clothes with the aid of one of the little bud team. A great idea for mamas to be that are struggling with their changing body and want a bit of dedicated me time to figure out how to still feel like their usual stylish self.

Little Bud have also made up their own Little Bundles, a range of gift boxes for mamas to be and new mamas, in which they’ve included Mama Tea! We might be biased but we think the Little Bundles are a lovely idea and a great gift.
